## What is Noah?

Noah is a software system developed by HIMSA (The Hearing Instrument Manufacturers’ Software Association) – a Danish organization founded in 1993. HIMSA’s objective is to develop, market and support Noah as a standard for integrated hearing care software.

## Basic functionalities in Noah

Noah’s primary function is to provide a unified system managing the information and data collected during a hearing test. You can use Noah to measure client’s hearing loss, using audiograms, speech tests, or loudness scaling. All results are stored in the Noah database and can be used by various fitting systems from other suppliers.

The Noah modules support basic fitting sessions, measurements, and core office management functions, and as such it is a good place to start. However, HIMSA encourages users to extend the functionalities of Noah with one or more tools offered by the many licensed partners.
