Auditdata appoints internal leader as Chief People Officer and member of the executive team

Ten years ago, Anna Aaen became Site Manager of Auditdata’s R&D office in Kyiv, responsible for 20 employees. Now she is joining the executive team as Chief People Officer, with global responsibility for people and organization in a company of nearly 200 employees.

Auditdata has appointed Anna Aaen as Chief People Officer (CPO). The appointment comes at a time when the company is growing globally and AI is changing the way people work. Both make culture more important than ever – which is why people and organization now have a seat on the executive team.

Anna Aaen has been with Auditdata since 2016. She started as Site Manager of the company's R&D office in Kyiv and has since held several roles with responsibility for operations, people and organizational development – roles that have grown from local to global.

Culture as a growth driver in a global company

Auditdata develops software for hearing care clinics and operates in markets from North America to Australia. Growth brings greater complexity: employees are spread across many countries and cultures, and most of them work remotely. That places high demands on communication, leadership and collaboration.

“The more countries, cultures and time zones we span, the more important it is that we share a common direction and the same values. Culture doesn't happen by itself in a company that is growing and spread across the world. We have to work on it consciously, every day,” says Anna Aaen.

Auditdata measures its culture continuously. Employee engagement is above 50 as measured by eNPS, and employee turnover is below 15 percent.

A key part of Anna Aaen's role will be to support leaders and strengthen the connections between teams, so that employees experience a shared direction and culture no matter where they are based.

Culture in the age of AI

Anna Aaen also points out that a strong culture matters even more at a time when artificial intelligence is changing the way we work.

Anna Aaen highlights trust, respect and integrity as core values in her approach to leadership. She also emphasizes helping employees use and develop their strengths.

“I make an effort to notice what people are good at and support them in moving in that direction in their work. When employees get the chance to use their strengths, the motivation comes from within,” says Anna Aaen.

New faces and international growth

In September, Christoffer Spangenberg took up the role of CEO, having previously served as Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Delivery at Auditdata. With Anna Aaen as CPO, the executive team now has dedicated responsibility for people and organization as the company continues to strengthen its international position.
