In a Hurry? Here's a Brief Summary.
Auditdata Manage is certified at TX-RAMP Level 2, the highest level of Texas's cloud security program, valid through October 4, 2029.
Level 2 requires 223 security controls from NIST SP 800-53 and aligns with FedRAMP Moderate.
Texas state agencies, public universities and community colleges can only contract with TX-RAMP certified cloud vendors, so they can now choose Manage without a security exception.
Private practices aren't required to use TX-RAMP certified software, but independent certification shortens IT and compliance reviews and shows how patient data is protected.
Auditdata Manage™, our audiology Practice Management Software, is now certified at TX-RAMP Level 2, the highest level of the Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program. The certification was granted on October 5, 2026, and is valid through October 4, 2029.
Hearing care runs on trust. Patients share their medical history, insurance details and personal information with their clinic, and a single record seen by the wrong person can break that trust. Whether you run one clinic or many, the software behind your practice should protect patient data as carefully as you do.
What is TX-RAMP Level 2?
TX-RAMP is the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) security program for cloud services used by Texas public organizations. It has two certification levels. Level 2 is the higher-assurance tier, for cloud services that handle confidential or regulated data.
Level 2 requires 223 security controls from NIST SP 800-53, the framework used across U.S. government, and aligns with FedRAMP Moderate.
That's a high bar. For Manage, many of those controls were already part of how we work every day, because protecting patient data is second nature to Auditdata and the more than 30,000 users who rely on us worldwide.
Who Needs TX-RAMP Certified Software?
Texas state agencies, public universities and public community colleges can only sign or renew contracts with cloud vendors that are TX-RAMP certified.
For university audiology clinics, health science centers and state hearing programs, that means they can now choose Manage without a security exception or a provisional workaround.
If you're evaluating software for a Texas public institution, ask each vendor for their TX-RAMP certificate ID and check it against the DIR certified products list.
Does a Private Audiology Practice Need TX-RAMP?
No. Private practices aren't required to use TX-RAMP certified software. Independent certification still makes a practical difference: your IT and compliance reviews are shorter, and you have documented evidence of how your vendor protects patient data.
Manage is also ISO 27001 certified and HIPAA compliant, and it runs on Azure with encrypted backups as standard. Role-based access controls who can see which patient records, and full audit trails log every access.
Questions To Ask Any Practice Management Vendor
Can users at one clinic ever see patient records belonging to another clinic?
How is access to patient records controlled, and is every access logged?
Has your security been independently certified, and can you share the certificate?
“Texas universities and public health programs have told us they need a practice management software built for audiology that also meets the state's security standards. Now they can have both, and we're ready to work with them today.”
Security as the Foundation of The Best Care Experience
A secure platform lets clinics focus on what matters most: their patients. Manage brings scheduling, guided workflows, documentation, billing and reporting into one platform built for audiology, not adapted from general healthcare.
When security is built in, your team spends less time on risk reviews and more time on care, from first contact to aftercare. That's the Best Care Experience. Auditdata brings more than 30 years of audiology experience, with 6,000 clinics and more than 30,000 users worldwide.
