Before leaving the clinic, you prepare the laptop by adding the specific patients you wish to work with. You can create new patients, select existing ones from a particular waiting list, or add patients from a relevant resource. Now you can efficiently work with AuditBase without being connected to the central database. When you get back to the clinic, you synchronise the changes you have made on the laptop with the central database. Instead of methodically entering each new piece of information for every outreach patient, you go through a simple synchronisation process and all data is up to date.

When preparing AuditBase to work offline, you can save an extract of the central database locally onto an encrypted laptop drive. Back in the clinic, you synchronise the local database with the central database, only adding new information and therefore ensuring data integrity. Once the local database is synchronised, it cannot be used again.

Your database platform version (e.g. SqlBase9) needs to be the same on both the laptop and the clinic computer. If not, the system will only enter data from the earlier database platform version into the latter database platform version. Oracle is not supported as a database platform.

For security reasons, you can synchronise a maximum of 500 patients at a time.

Having Laptop synchronisation makes your workflow truly flexible. Outreach patients can be treated in the same way as patients treated in the clinic, which saves you time when you return to the clinic.
